Aulanko, only a good hour's drive from the major cities of southern Finland, is situated in Hämeenlinna, only a "stone's throw" from the centre of the town.

Whether you use public means of transport or come in your own car, Aulanko is easy to get to. By car, there are signs off the Helsinki-Tampere motorway (road number 3) and the Turku-Lahti main road (number 10).

There is a one-way asphalt scenic road round the Aulanko Natural Park, where driving is permitted from 8 am till 11 pm. There are five parking sites on the road.

Buses numbers 2, 13 and 17 of the internal traffic of Hämeenlinna operate between the centre of Hämeenlinna and the Aulanko Hotel. Opposite the hotel, there are steps up the hill to the Aulanko Nature Reserve.

The closest airports are in Helsinki and Tampere and both only about an hour drive from Aulanko.
